Youth and Schools

Many young people use and affect the land.  By involving them in decision making and practical work, and engaging them with the vision, it is hoped they will develop their own skills, and interest in protecting the development of the land.

It is hoped that Steyning Grammar School ICT dept will manage a youth and schools page on the website.

The Downland taskforce

Steyning Grammar School’s social inclusion group already do practical work once a week during term-time.
Their activities have included scrub and path clearance.
Year 7 and Year 8 form groups have worked every week throughout the year as part of the taskforce.

We need: Volunteer youth workers and teachers
People with vision to initiate new education projects
Help with developing education resources
Sessional staff / volunteers
