Mountain biking group
An area has been designated for the new mountain biking area, for use by a recognised group of young people from Steyning, who have licenses and insurance to enable them to use the area.
They have been helped to establish a special area for enjoying mountain biking, built safe ramps in a location that causes minimal disturbance to wildlife.
Getting involved
- Youth consultation of the various groups has successfully taken place since summer 2007.
- Old ramps have been dismantled. New ramps were built in October 2007 with wood provided by the estate from trees cut down through conservation work.
- Other raw materials were provided by the young people, who successfully were awarded funding from the Youth opportunities fund to develop their project.
