Surveys
The importance of surveys to any conservation project cannot be under-estimated. If you have no idea of what you have on your site, then there is no way of measuring the impact of any management strategies that are implemented.
The Steyning Downland Scheme is doing it's best to survey as much as possible of the wildlife and plant life on the area of land it manages. As we are a charity we rely on the knowledge and enthusiasm of our teams of volunteer surveyors who regularly go out logging as much information as they can about what we have here.
We also are very grateful for help given to us by other conservation organisations such as the Sussex Bat Group
